Kathy and I were discussing the fact that avoiding bpa and plastics entirely is virtually impossible. Bisphenol-A and phthalates are in just about everything we use, including cosmetics, which is very alarming, and also upsetting. Mainly because companies will hide behind the standards set forth by what the FDA deems safe levels, and are able to sleep at night. But safe levels in every product still adds up to a lot more than I want to be putting into my family’s body, and that amount is zero.
The good thing is, that there are tons of companies out there that have spent a lot of time creating awesome products that are free of parabens and phthalates. I found an awesome website that has a rather large list of links to sites out there that have really great all natural products. Think Before You Pink is a great resource for just about every body product you can think of. I went through a lot of these links to see what was out there, and I would love to showcase all of them, but there’s just too many to link.

If you’ve tried any of these products let us know in the comments. If you’d like to do a review on any of them we’d love to feature it. The girly side of us can never have too many jars of lotion. Or lip gloss.
