So I was recently in a shop in a town called Serenbe, GA which is an amazing little place near where I live. I picked up some products there for myself that was irresistible for two reasons. One – I am a sucker for packaging. I know…. it’s not the cover of the book that counts but I’m a girl. I can’t help it. And two – the luxurious ingredients. Being a blogger naturally, my fingers started typing out a Little Barn Apothecary Review.
Little Barn Apothecary is a company local to me in Stone Mountain, Georgia that was a company founded just this past 2015 out of a desire to craft beautiful, organic, safe apothecary products. They are plainly put: simple, stunning, and free of preservatives, toxic chemical ingredients, or icky fillers.
Just pure natural deliciousness.
I wanted the entire line but I started with two products. My carefully chosen products were enough to satiate my thirst for a luxurious beauty treatment.
Two Little Barn Apothecary Products that I Purchased
First I tried the Coconut + Mint Cooling Mist. At first glance, you might think “Why on earth would I need that?” Well let me tell you, you need it. It smells divine, and the cooling effect really feels amazing after a sweaty workout or even after a hot shower. It has a light moisturizing effect without the fuss of a lotion.
Next, I indulged myself in their Honeysuckle + Grapefruit Body Oil. I know not everyone is into oils but if you haven’t yet tried them for skincare I recommend giving it a go.
Dry winter skin is a thing of the past if you use them in the shower. The sultry floral scent is so lovely – even my kids told me I smell nice. Contrary to common sense thinking, using oils on your skin shouldn’t leave you feeling greasy if you pick the right ones. They should feel healing and light. This one did exactly that, all while leaving me smelling pretty. This one also comes in a Lemongrass + Mint scent that sounds pretty fabulous.
I am dying to try out their bath salts and face collection – next trip that’s on my list.
Disclaimer: The company did not contact me or ask me to review. I bought these with my own money and was just so impressed with the company’s mission, passion, and careful thought with their products that I felt they deserved the SafeMama share!
Check out Little Barn Apothecary online to purchase – these would make a GREAT Mother’s Day gift. (*hint hint*)
