I’ll admit that I don’t buy a ton of clothing that is eco-friendly. I’ve always had a mild aversion to organic and sustainable clothing because they always look like organic and sustainable clothes. I’ll be the first one to tell you that I like to take pride in how I look every day. I’m not prancing around like a beauty queen… my standard issue is jeans, a tank top and flip flops. But I try to be presentable and I do enjoy shopping. I’m one of those girls. I am weird in that I don’t own that many shoes. Anyway.. I was asked to check out the clothing from Aventura Clothing which specializes in clothes made from eco-friendly materials with a casual style so you can look great and lower our ecologic footprint on the planet.
They’ve got an adorable line of clothes made with rayon manufactured from bamboo which is a highly renewable source. I received one of their bamboo rayon skirts called the Harmony Bamboo Blend Skirt. It’s soft and kind of swingy, falling just below the knee for a casual look, and also works with boots. I love the way the material feels and is really comfortable to wear. I’ve sported it with sandals and a tank top since it’s still sunny and mildly warm here in the south.
Aventura Clothing also sent me their Glenora Bamboo Blend long sleeve Tee in Pewter. I am in LOVE with the color grey right now. It goes perfectly with the Harmony Skirt but I love wearing this with a pair of beat up jeans. It’s super comfortable and very flattering. I got a few compliments on it while out and about. I think what I love most about these clothes is that they don’t look like I’m wearing eco-friendly clothes. They just look great and feel great. I also always associated eco-friendly clothing with higher prices, but really, these don’t cost more than if you were to shop at any other stylish boutique. I’d say it was pretty comparable and has the added benefit of eco-friendliness. I like it!
Aventura Clothing is going to give a Glenora V-neck Tee to one of my readers… you will love this top! Here’s how to enter:
