As a Green Living Expert for EcoCentricMom.com I am always excited to share with you what was in last months boxes.  Each month has been chock full of new surprises and I am always impressed with the variety of samples and great coupons.  The Baby Box featured some really fantastic products including several full sized samples and a baby bib.  The Mom-To-Be Box was as just as awesome with lots of pampering goodies for mom. The boxes get better and better each month.

September Baby Box

BuggyLove Full Size Organic Universal Surface Cleaner – So many parents ask me how to clean toys and not everyone likes to DIY.  This was a new discovery for me.  The gentle spray is great for cleaning toys, high chairs, strollers, car seats or any other surface where icky germs and slime live.  I’ve been using it to clean off my kids place mats, and the sticky spots in my car that they seems to slime up daily.  No strong scent makes this great for anyone with a sensitive nose.

Lotus Wei Inner Peace Mist – I am in love with these aromatic sprays for mom.  I do not use perfume because of the toxic ingredients they use to make it smell nice.  So this is a really lovely alternative to perfume with added calming and mood lifting benefits thanks to flower essences and essential oils.  The Inner Peace Mist is perfect for those days when you need a little added calming.

September Baby Box from EcoCentric Mom

Bumkins Starter Bib – Yes you read that right, a baby bib was included in the Baby Box in September (see all the cool stuff you get??).  I’ve always liked Bumkins brand products.  They create safe bibs free of PVC, phthalates, lead and BPA… so your messy baby can be safe and stay clean.  I also love how portable these are and easy to clean.  I’ve had many and they always performed while looking cute.

BumbleBar Original Peanut Junior Bar – Organic and gluten free energy bar that you can keep in your purse or diaper bag.  Sometimes moms need a boost and this is a healthy way to get it! I actually gave one of these to my 3 year old and he gobbled it up and said “Get more at the store, Mom.”

Nurture My Body Baby Shampoo and Body Wash – This company makes really wonderful and safe products using certified organic ingredients, never any toxic chemicals and work beautifully.  I’ve always been a fan of this line for me and my kids. They have some really lovely products for mom too!

Baby Babu Biodegradable Disposable Diapers – Not everyone can cloth diaper all the time.  So when you need a disposable option, I know I feel a little better knowing it’s at least somewhat safer for my baby and the environment. They also work really well – you’d never know it wasn’t a regular ol’ Pampers.

Ecover Zero Laundry Powder –  Made without bleach, optical brighteners and fragrances, this leaves clothes clean.  No heavy perfume-y smells, just clean.

Also included was a great coupon for 20% off of Kid Basix – one of the pioneers in safe drink-wear for kids.

September Mom-to-Be Box

September Mom-To-Be Box

Lotus Wei Infinite Love Mist –  The Mom-to-Be Box features the Lotus Wei Infinite Love Mist which I adore because of the rose and lemongrass scent.  I am a sucker for that rose smell – it reminds me of home.  I feel light and pretty when I wear it! I’ve been using it as a perfume and am really enjoying the scents.  Not overpowering at all!

LaraBar – This month featured two delicious LaraBars in Jocalat Chocolate and Chocolate Mint.  I’m a firm believer in snacking during the day and if those snacks are certified organic and made with fair trade chocolate, then I think there’s nothing that could top that! easy to carry and perfect for your chocolate fix. These yummy bars have dates and nuts, 5 grams of fiber and a dose of magnesium which makes these a healthy treat for on the go.

Simply Rustic Body Butter – A little pot of heaven. These body butters are made with only the safest ingredients around like fair trade, raw and organic butters and oils to feed your skin rather than cover it up. My favorite thing from their selection is that they have a Nut-Free body butter.  I have had parents ask me to find healing ointments for their kids that have nut allergies. This just might be the solution to their woes.  And I don’t know about you but Pumpkin Spice Body Butter sounds like something I want to eat!

Glee Gum Sugar Free – Glee Gum is a great alternative to the regular sugar free gums on the market.  Why? Glee Gum is made with sustainably harvested rainforest chicle. No artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, corn or preservatives. The sugar free Glee Gum is sweetened with xylitol instead of chemical sweeteners.  Safer for you and your teeth.

BWC Hand & Body Lotion with Vitamin C – BWC’s CoQ10 and Vitamin C hand lotion  contains active anti-oxidants vitamin C and CQ10 help counteract the impact on the appearance of the skin due to sun and environmental damage.  While not 100% chemical free their products are free of damaging parabens, phthalates and harsh ingredients.

Deep Steep Moisture Stick – I was a sucker for this lotion stick.  I love anything with a citrus scent so this grapefruit bergamont scented moisture stick was right up my alley.  I tend to chew on my cuticles (bad I know…germs ew!) and my hands get really dry in the Fall and Winter from washing them.  I have 2 little boys.  That means I live with constant germs.  So I’m dry. I loved carrying this in my purse for cuticle and hand treatments while waiting in line or while out and about. Works great as a lip balm too.  I also love all the organic and natural ingredients.  No ickies here.  My new purse companion. I want to try out more of their products, and intend to!

This box also included samples from Ecover, BumbleBar and a slew of coupons and incentives from the brands I mentioned above, wrapped up adorably.

If you aren’t already signed up I highly recommend it.. there are some great products to discover and these would also make a great gift for someone pregnant, having a new baby, or just a mommy who needs some surprises at their doorstep each month.  Head over to EcoCentricMom.com and let them know SafeMama.com sent ya! You can’t beat the selection for $17 a month. 🙂
