I took a lengthy break, not totally intended but personal life gets in the way sometimes.  You all know how that goes.  But I am back and READY for a great new year with and all of you.  Very exciting things to come this year for this website. First, I want to share with you what I was treated with for the month of December from If you are unfamiliar with the program it’s a very affordable monthly subscription that allows you to explore safe and natural products without investing a ton of money in trying out brands.  Each month you are delivered a box of full and sample sized products with coupon codes and you can try things out at your leisure.  There are other services out there, but I really love how careful EcoCentric Mom is about product selection.  Not to mention, you will find tips from health and eco-living experts in each months box.  I am one of the featured experts every other month – so you get the added bonus of my handy tips. 🙂  On to the products!

Elma & Sana Pure Organic Argan Oil Moisturizer – Have you ever  used Argan Oil? For months I’ve been stumbling on product lines bragging about the benefits and I’ve not bothered to try it until now.  Argain Oil is surprisingly not greasy, adds shine and softness to your hair and can also be used as a skin moisturizer.  I was cautious to try it, I have sensitive skin, but surprisingly, this works great in the winter months when we tend to dry out from heat and lack of humidity.  Elma & Sana’s Argan Oil is 100% Organic and safe for all skin types.

Golden Path Alchemy Awaken Cleanser – Looking for a skin cleanser that’s free of detergents and pore clogging soaps? This product might be for you. Organic essential oils, herbs and gem elixirs work together to create this holisitic handmade skin care. Cleanse without stripping your skin of essential moisture and revive your natural beauty.

Clandestine Milk Chocolate Banana Bar – If you love dried bananas you’ll be a fan of these treats.  Chocolate enhances the flavor of these yummy bars.  Nothing but dried bananas and chocolate, are a great way to fuel your body (bananas help reduce cramping) without unnecessary ingredients and preservatives.

Tisano Organic Chocolate Tea – Chocolate tea? Yes please!  I’ve started adding tea to my daily rituals (I don’t have many but I need 10 minutes to just chill out lately, seriously).  This chocolate tea treat is the perfect way to treat yourself without wrecking your diet.  Plus you get the health benefits of dark chocolate in the process.  Win win! Mmm…

Simply Rustic Pumpkin Spice Body Scrub – I discovered Simply Rustic in a previous box but now I’m doubly addicted.  Pure ingredients, no chemicals, created by a mother who knew that environmental toxins affect our overall health. For those who have nut allergies and struggle to find natural skin care, she has a line of nut free body butters, lip balm and scrub.

Honey Stinger Organic Energy Chews – Anyone who knows me, knows I love to run, bike, swim, yoga and pilates my head off. When I train for a long event I end up needing nutrition that won’t weigh in my stomach.  Most energy gels and chews on the market are made with corn syrups, dyes and artifical ingredients.  I LOVE Honey Stingers organic energy products. I use them for running, and biking when my workouts are extended.  I feel better knowing I am taking in something more natural. I am their #1 fan.

Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Bronzer – Looking pale lately? I know I am… winter is starting to take it’s toll.  So in the meantime, brightening your appearance with a sun-kissed look naturally.  Lauren Brooke cosmetics uses natural ingredients and are free of all those gross chemicals you avoid in make up already.  Goes on light, layer for a more dramatic effect. I haven’t tried all of her stuff, but I’m thinking I might explore further into the line.  Good thing my EcoCentric Mom box has a $5 off coupon! 🙂

Organic Nectars Chocolate Bars – I’d like to say I loved these, but I didn’t have a chance to try them because MY KIDS ATE THEM.  So I am pretty sure they are approved.  Made from raw cacao, these are certified organic, vegan, kosher parve and GMO free.  A natural way to indulge!  Would be a perfect Valentine’s treat…

Tree Hunger All Natural Bubble Gum – We don’t chew a lot of gum around here but this is a great alternative to the mainstream stuff that contains unsavory ingredients.  These natural gum balls would also make for a fun valentine’s gift.  No artificial colors, flavors and gluten free.  They actually taste really good and don’t stick to your teeth like some other natural gum brands.  I’m a fan.

Other special offers included from Kids Konserve,, and a product I’ll be reviewing soon Green Kids Crafts.
