organic_cleanser_gel I am always on a quest to find natural ways to care for my skin that doesn’t require me mixing potions in my kitchen. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. In fact it’s amazing if you do it. There are so many benefits to making your own. But, I am a sucker for convenience since so many natural things aren’t. So when MightyNest asked me to check out this line of skin care products from Acure I was thrilled to do it. Acure is a family owned business that prides themselves on providing high quality products that are not only focused on fair trade and certified organic ingredients, but they also concentrate on bringing forth products that are free from animal testing, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, harmful preservatives and artificial colors.

The biggest issue I face with trying new skin care is justifying the cost for the risk that it might not live up to what I think it should. So I was really pleased with the performance of these for such a natural based product. The Acure Organic Purifying Cleansing Gel is one of my favorite products in the line. I have sensitive skin and mild rosacea so I need to be picky about what I use. This cleansing gel was really gentle, didn’t irritate my skin and actually made my face feel clean and refreshed without being dried out. I’ve resolved myself to not having anything that foams any more thanks to the way most natural cleansers work. but this had a really nice bubbly feeling. I tested out a few other products as well like the Acure Day Cream with gotu kola stem cell + chlorella. It goes on smoothly and makes you soft and not greasy. I like this for the backs of my hands too. Gotu Kola stem cells and Chlorella help fight the signs of aging and support collagen and elastin fibers. I could use the help, especially with the abuse my face takes being outside running, cycling and the chlorine from pools is killer on my skin.

I have always wanted to check out Dry Shampoo but was never brave enough. Acure’s Dry Shampoo is a GREAT “cheat” for those of us who need to freshen up to head out the door when there’s no time for a shower. I tested this out after some gym time and it worked beautifully! No clumps, and it hid my semi sweaty hair long enough so I could get my errands done without looking like a sweaty maniac. Next on my list is to order up a tube of the Ultra-Hydrating Body Lotion… chlorine is beating up my winter skin worse than it already is.

I could go on forever but I have to mention the lucscious Eye Cream with Superfruit + Chlorella – It’s so soothing and lovely. I can’t get enough of it. And even though this is not totally important, I just love the packaging of this line. It’s so nice having beautiful products that work great sitting on the bathroom counter!
