One of the gifts I put on this years Safer Toy Guide was this adorable yoga mat designed for your little ones. How cute would it be to have your little girl or boy next to you practicing a down dog? These little mats are thicker than traditional mats and provide a safe surface for yoga practice, but they are also great as a travelling play surface. Wipes clean easily and the best part is it’s made of safe materials. No PVC, Phthalates, or toxic junk to worry about. They are also biodegradable and recyclable!
Yoga is a great thing to teach children, in fact they used to have yoga twice a week at my sons preschool and he loved it! Yoga introduces wellness and awareness for the need to take care of our bodies and minds amidst the busy lives we lead. Or if you just want something fun to do on a rainy day stuck in the house, do a mini yoga session with your kids. People are always asking me about play surfaces so I think think would be a great option for portable play. Roll it up and spread it out so baby/kids can play on a safe surface.

Ugh, so many things to worry about. Now I wonder if my yoga mat is toxic. I am sticking my face in it and breathing deeply! How can I find out if mine is safe? I’d love to get this one so I don’t have to worry about my little one’s exposure to toxins.

The yoga mats are adorable, and my son would love any of the craft items (crayons, markers, paint, dough) but I think I would have to say that the play tents win out.
