Tamara - I would contact the company and let them know. My almost 6 month old yanks on it all the time and it does break away as it should... no cord burns. Perhaps your clasp is a little misshapen?

OK, I got some Teething Bling for Christmas and I must say that my 4 month old loves it! I on the other hand, am not as enthusiastic over the "clasp" on the necklace. It is supposed to be a "break-away" clasp and I actually have "cord burns" on my neck right now. My son has yanked very hard on the necklace and the plastic "clasp" never came apart. Overall, I feel the products are fantastic and I will be buying more in different colors!

I've never gotten how federally approved silicone is bad in breast implants (even as a solid) but fine for soothers?

What's the difference?

What an incredible idea! I never wear necklaces because my 4 month old son likes to slob them, so this would be fantastic!

It does! It hangs to about "boob" level so it works for that too... :)

I have enjoyed using Teething Bling too. I reviewed them on my blog last year. Just to share, they have some really neat patterns and colors. http://www.askmissmommy.com/search/label/Teething%20Bling

Cool...seems like it would also double as a good toy at 'boob level' if the baby is nursing as well.
