I’ve spoken with the company and there were a batch that shipped out that did have some problems. I’m told they are doing some improvements and are inspecting all new shipments. I’m going to let my toddler re-test the cup. Hopefully it passes this time!

I wish I could get a refund, I am so angry at how awful this cup is. I mean, did they actually test it? I want to warn others of how terrible this cup is! GRRRRR

We bought the Safe Sippy today and have found the same issues mentioned above. In no way could we keep it from leaking from under the lid. There appears to be an intact o-ring in the under side of the cap which, in theory, should make contact with the top of the cup and prevent leaks. We couldn’t figure out why it kept literally pouring out. When we tried to suck water through the mouth piece, we too had a very difficult time getting anything to come out. We’re very disappointed in this product. It’s too bad because we were really happy to have found such a seemingly progressive, safe and functional product. It’s pricey too!
