A company Conroy Corp has launched a site that provides recall information for consumers. The new site is part of Facebook.com but they have launched recalledtoyalert.com for non-Facebook users.
“ConRoy said consumers can view CPSC recalls and browse toys from toy testers and safety experts with the tool. Both the Facebook application and the Web site also allow users to search for recalled toys by product name, manufacturer name, retailer name, or by browsing images of recalled toys.”
It’s great to see companies taking an active interest in the safety of our kids. A nice feature they added is an email alert system which you can sign up for and receive email when toys are recalled. There is a handy search feature to check on toys or gifts that have already been purchased to see if a recall was issued in the past for that item.
I’ve added recalledtoyalert.com to the sidebar links for future reference.
